Caddies

At Wild Spring Dunes, a caddie helps you read the course, find your way, and enjoy the walk.

What to Expect

A caddie does more than carry a bag. Your caddie can help you:

  • Navigate the course and understand its lines

  • Get yardages and read greens

  • Choose clubs and plan your shots

  • Keep the group moving and help locate shots

  • Care for your clubs and the course throughout the round

Our caddies walk several miles each day, so keeping your bag light makes a difference for both pace of play and the overall experience. We recommend bringing only the essentials for the round and using a carry bag with a stand and single or double strap that weighs approx. 25 lbs or less. If you arrive with a larger cart bag, we may recommend using one of our change-out bags while on property. Any extra equipment can be stored during your round.

Bag Considerations

What to pack:
  • 14 clubs or fewer

  • 1 water bottle

  • 6 golf balls

  • 1-2 versatile bag straps

  • 1 layering piece or rain gear, depending on the forecast

Paying Your Caddie

Caddies at Wild Spring Dunes are independent contractors and are paid directly by the guest at the conclusion of the round. The rates below are recommended payments and include gratuity. We currently do not have an ATM on property, please bring cash before your round.

Pro caddies typically carry two bags during a round. Please note that requests for a single-bag caddie may not be accommodated.

PRO CADDIE - $150 (GRATUITY INCLUDED)

A pro caddie walks with your group and carries two bags, typically for you and your playing partner. Pro caddies provide yardages, green reading, course strategy, club recommendations, and local knowledge.

FORECADDIE - $50 PER PLAYER (GRATUITY INCLUDED)

A forecaddie walks with your group but does not carry bags. Forecaddies provide yardages, green reading, course strategy, help locating shots, and pace-of-play assistance.
